Chairman Message
On Behalf of IIEST, Shibpur, we extend our sincere greetings!
Heartfelt congratulations to all the outstanding achievers of JEE (Main) 2026 and JEE (Advanced) 2026! Your unwavering dedication, perseverance, and diligence have led to this remarkable accomplishment, and we take immense pride in celebrating your success.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the parents, guardians, and educators whose steadfast support and guidance have played a pivotal role in this journey. Conquering one of the nation’s most challenging entrance examinations is a testament to your collective hard work and commitment.
It is our privilege to announce that the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, has entrusted IIEST, Shibpur, with the responsibility of coordinating the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB 2026) and the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA 2026). In collaboration with the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA 2026), CSAB 2026 will oversee the joint seat allocation process for admissions to prestigious undergraduate programs.
Upon completion of JoSAA 2026 rounds, if any seat remains vacant in the NIT+ System, CSAB shall conduct Special Rounds called CSAB-Special 2026. A total of 113 institutes will be participating in CSAB 2026. CSAB 2026 is also responsible for conducting the CSAB Supernumerary round for admission to supernumerary seats in selected NITs for candidates from some UTs. In addition, CSAB 2026 also conducts CSAB NEUT rounds to allocate seats of AICTE-approved institutes under the scheme of “Reservation of seats in Degree Level Technical Courses for States / UTs lacking such facilities in the AICTE-approved institutions” to candidates of the North-Eastern states and Union Territories. Eligible candidates who have qualified JEE (Main) 2026 can participate in the seat allocation process via the official websites (https://csab.nic.in and https://josaa.nic.in)
For DASA, a candidate-friendly approach has been adopted by merging the DASA UG and CSAB-Special registration and fee payment into a single window. Eligible candidates who have qualified for the JEE (Main) 2026 can participate in the DASA seat allocation process via the official website (https://csab.nic.in). DASA PG candidates worldwide are also invited to apply for admission to master’s programs at some of the prestigious institutes (https://dasanit.org).
Comprehensive guidelines are available that detail each step of the process, including registration, document verification, preference selection, counselling schedules, and seat allotment. The CSAB 2026/DASA 2026 team will provide continuous guidance and support throughout each round of seat allocation, with dedicated help centres and a multilingual tele help desk to assist candidates.
We sincerely hope that every student secures admission to their desired institute and program through this process. Admission to first-year programs in Engineering, Science, Architecture, and Planning will be based on JEE rankings and the eligibility criteria specified in the Business Rules. To ensure well-informed decision-making, candidates are strongly encouraged to thoroughly review the Business Rules/information brochure, adhere to key deadlines, and stay updated through the official CSAB 2026 website (https://csab.nic.in) and JoSAA 2026 website (https://josaa.nic.in).
We urge parents and guardians to actively participate and provide guidance during critical decision-making stages, such as choice-filling and seat acceptance. Your support will enable candidates to navigate this process with confidence and ease.
Wishing all aspirants the very best as they embark on this significant step towards their
academic and professional aspirations.
